Without you, the sun would never have shined so bright.

I would like to use this space to dedicate my site to my beloved cousin, Joan. Growing up, Joan always went along with my crazy dreams and aspirations, and always reminded me to never, ever, ever give up. She always supported me and constantly reminded me that she was proud of me. Although Joan's life was cut short, her legacy and spirit live on. After reading this, please do one kind thing per day in honor of her. This would make her very happy.

Missed Dearly.

Dear Lona,

It's still very hard to believe you're gone. It will probably hit me around my birthday, when the mail carrier has no card to deliver. I wanted you to know that I followed my dream of fashion design. I followed it right to my dream school. It took a lot of hard work, but I did it, and I am so happy. I wish you had been around to see it all finally happen, but I know you have a great view from where you are. I never got to thank you for everything you did. I'd like to do that now. Thank you for being an aunt to me, and for making holidays so much more exciting. Thank you for encouraging my creative side. Thank you for the drawing books you got me one year for Christmas, and thank you for always reminding me to not give up, and to follow what I love. It is largely because of you that I have chosen this path. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I miss you more than you know.
